I am looking forward to hosting my first Western Premiers' Conference, at a time when the western provinces are becoming stronger. They are becoming stronger individually and stronger together; stronger nationally and internationally. It is the 'New West.' For us to reach our full potential I believe we need to work together for greater western economic cooperation. And so during this conference I hope we will turn our attention to ways in which we can explore cooperation and synergies to the benefit of our respective citizens. I am confident that the discussions will be productive and engaging, against the backdrop of beautiful lakes, and the great Saskatchewan forest, in Saskatchewan's gateway to the north -- the City of Prince Albert. In addition to welcoming my fellow Western Premiers, I want to welcome Western Governors and Aboriginal leaders, who will be joining us for the meetings in I invite you to explore our beautiful province and enjoy our hospitality. Welcome to the conference and welcome to Saskatchewan. |
